By downloading, installing, or using the Snapity mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Snapity is a mobile application that allows users to capture photos of event posters and automatically extract event information to create calendar entries. The App uses artificial intelligence technology to analyze images and extract relevant event data.

User Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use this App
  • You must have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
  • Your use of the App must comply with all applicable laws and regulations

    • Permitted Use

    You may use the App to:
  • Capture photos of event posters for personal use
  • Extract event information from images
  • Create calendar entries based on extracted information
  • Access the App's features for legitimate purposes

    • Prohibited Use

    You may not:
  • Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Upload or process images containing inappropriate, offensive, or copyrighted content
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the App
  • Use the App to violate any third party's rights
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
  • Upload images of private or personal information without authorization

    Image Processing

  • Images you capture or upload are processed temporarily to extract event information
  • We do not store your images permanently on our servers
  • Images may be sent to third-party AI services (OpenAI) for text extraction

    • User Responsibility

  • You are responsible for the content of images you process through the App
  • You must have the right to photograph and process any images you submit
  • You must respect privacy and property rights when capturing images

    • Third-Party Services

    The App integrates with third-party services:
  • OpenAI API: For image analysis and text extraction
  • Firebase Services: For app functionality, analytics, and crash reporting
  • Calendar Applications: For creating calendar entries
    • Use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

    Intellectual Property

    App Ownership

  • Snapity and all related intellectual property rights are owned by us
  • You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the App
  • This license does not grant you any ownership rights in the App

    • User Content

  • You retain ownership of images you capture or upload
  • By using the App, you grant us a temporary license to process your images for the sole purpose of providing the service

    • Disclaimers and Limitations

    Service Availability

  • The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or updates

    • Accuracy of Information

  • Extracted event information may not always be accurate
  • You should verify all event details before relying on them
  • We are not responsible for missed events or incorrect information

    • Data Loss

  • We are not responsible for any data loss or corruption
  • You should maintain backup copies of important information

    • Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law:
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any)
  • We are not liable for any damages arising from third-party services

    • Privacy

    Account Termination

    We reserve the right to:
